Can that I think that I picked up from an online order with Mr Hop webshop Venray Netherlands. This formed part of the curated advent calendar box I did for Loz, had this at our hotel 2l de Blend, Utrecht, Thursday 8th January 2026 after a long train journey from Plattling today. Pours dark brown actually is it? Nah think it's black with a small beige head. On the nose and in the mouth, roasty malt, chocolate, I was sure that I could detect a barrel aged element but certainly not according to the can. There's a nice mouthfeel, slight thickness, chocolate and also caramel, perhaps a little bit sweet but certainly not in Vault City territory. Score 7.5

Can. Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and light vanilla aroma. Maple and coffee flavor with chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Chocolate and maple linger with coffee and vanilla.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted notes, some syrup, mild nutty and earthy tones. Flavour is chocolate, some roasted notes, syrup, nutty and some sweet toffee. Mild coffee as well.

Can 47,3 cl. Pours syrupy thick with a tiny, brown head. Sweet chocolate and molasses in the nose. Very rich and sweet body, again molasses, plums and the maple syrupy adding to the whole picture. Vanilla can also be sensed, while the coffee is somewhat downplayed. Almost a syrupy texture with little bitterness. I love the ironic name for a 14% Imperial Stout. A sipper. 270123

473ml can at tasting. Thx tiong. Poured black in color. Maple tends to dominate this brew. Too much of everything makes it hard to drink, overly sweet. Heavy.
