The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smokebeer, brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish brown lentbeer a natural cloudiness. Its smoky aroma is already noticeable in the smell, combined with a fine hoppy note. In the drink the fullbodied, highly drinkable lentbeer shows its strong malty flavour, rounded up with the smokey taste and a light bitterness. Due to the nourishing yeast, the Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer has the "Brotzeit already included" (German word for afternoon snack).

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of smoked ham, leather, roasted malt and wood. Pours clear dark amber brown color with medium sized creamy tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet roasted and smoked malt and caramel, following is leathery, earthy and grassy, mouthfeel is smooth while finish is medium bitter. Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Fermentoren. Pours clear amber with a small offwhite head. Aroma is smokey, bacony, malty, hoppy. Taste is smoky, meaty, earthy, lighty hoppy, sweet malty. How people enjoy this so much is a beyond my comprehension haha

Bottle. Dark Amber color. Malt and smoked ham in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor. Full bodied. Smoked ham and beechwood in the flavor. Very well balanced. Great beer.

Tap. Beer reddish-brown color. Smoked aroma, dense, smoked chees and bacon, malty. Taste: smoked, wine and yeast-grain taste with dried fruits, smoked meat. Very interesting beer, very good.

0,5 l bottle from a local Hol´ Ab! market. MMXIX version. Unclear brown with a more than two finger beige head. As expected intensive smokey bacon smell. Tastes like I oversmoked my spare ribs on the WSM. Malty background. Long lasting smokey aftertaste. Smooth. Everything as its has to be.
