Bottle at home, 19/05/16. Pitch black with a well appointed tan head that retains well - picture postcard stout ! Nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, chocolate hobnob biscuits, faint hop, light charr. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, trace of liquorice, light spice, treacle toffee, more chocolate hobnob notes, light fruit esters, roast malt. Medium bodied, soft smooth mouthfeel, drying close with a light hop tingle. Super solid stout - ticks the boxes throughout.
