St-Feuillien’ Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde ale, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang. Saison, the latest in a long line of top-quality St-Feuillien beers, is a “hoppy”, unfiltered bee that is so emblematic of the rich Belgian tradition.

In my opinion, it is a really good beer, the perfect wedding between a Belgian Ale and an IPA. The taste is sweet and bitter, nice hop, 28.11.2016, buying it at the place dr l'Aligre, Paris, drinking it at Bonfol, probably.

Hazy amber pour, big white head. Malted wheat aroma, grass, light tropical fruit, and some light tartness. Good mouthfeel, good carb. The finish is a little muddles and muddy. The end is a mix of herb, and grass with bready malts. Meh. Lacks a crisp, cleaness i expect in a good saison.

I thought that I had rated this beer at least a decade ago...since then, I had it several times - and never checked whether I really rated it or not - and now I've just realised that, my rating is still pending :) so, let'see: opalescent orange to bright amber colour, moderate sized ecru-ish odűff-white head; aroma of apple peel, lemon zesty, lemon juicy, hay, grassy-lemongrassy, barnyard and some green tea notes; tasteha similar notes to the aroma; quite good one!

Bottle from Connolly's Wine Merchants, online. Pours a light cloudy brown with moderate sized white fluffy head, once receded leaves a nice top. Aroma of hay, sweet malts, honey. Taste is sweet malts, honey, coriander, citrus peel, zesty and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, chewy. Very nice.
