This beer named after The Eldon Hole, one of the seven wonders of The Peak District, is a smooth, roasty stout brewed with Demerara sugar and with added complexity from the addition of Bourbon soaked oak. Caramel, coffee and chocolate flavours are married with a hint of vanilla and fine Kentucky Bourbon.

Bottle 330ml (Beer Hunters). Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Toffee, caramel, brown sugar and vanilla. Medium-bodied. Brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon. Grassy hoppyness. Sweet easy bourbon brew.

schenkt zwart met fijne bruine kraag. aroma van geroosterde mouten, zoet, chocolade. Smaken van geroosterde mout, chocolade, koffie, redelijk zoet, zwak bittertje, melkchocolade, vanille, alcohol, bourbon/whisky. matige body.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Alexey. Black with a tan head. Aroma of nuts, some roast, light vanilla note, wood, some fruitiness, some chocolate. Roasty flavor, bittersweeet, with chocolate, nuts, a bit of dark fruits, a sourish hint, and a bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied, quite rounded.

330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a medium head. Aroma is liquorice and coffee, a little blackcurrant. Taste is mostly liquorice. Some woody coffee. A little bourbon in the finish. A fine beer but Iām left wanting more.

33cl Bottle at The Black Smith. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, coffee and cream, hint of wood. Flavour is much the same, classic English dry stout. Bitter finish, medium bodied at best.

330ml bottle from Mitchells of Meadowhead - A bit of a let down after all the expectation, deep black body, thin beige head. Toasty roasty nose, got a hit of vanilla in between the usual coffee and chocolate. Taste is syrupy, thick alcohol burn with the chocolate and coffee. Not all that it wants to be.

Bottle shared at THT, thanks! Black with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, oak, caramel and malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at THT. Deep reddish brown with beige head. Light vanilla, chocolate, chalky, light herbal, some spices and curry, soft manure. Medium sweet and some roasted bitterness. Over medium bodied with slick feel.
