This strong, sweet Barley Wine Ale is brewed using five different malts. It’s also mashed at a high temperature which is great for flavour, but rather unpleasant if you happen to be a hop.

Bottle at THT. Clear reddish brown with very short lasting off white head with no lacing. Lots of alcohol, caramel, light herbs, tea, light cardboard. Under medium sweet with over medium alcoholic bitterness. Over medium bodied with low carbonation. Not very good.

Bottle shared at THT, thanks! Clear orange brown with no head. Aroma of toffee, cheesy malt, caramel and booze. Flavour is heavy sweet. Light medium bodied with near flat carbonation.

33cl bottle shared at March THT. No head. Clear amber pour. A bit thin for a barley wine.
