Bottle. Black with a tan head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of mocha, roast, licorice. Not much body and a bit hollow on the palate with mocha and roasted flavours. Dry finish with little bitterness. Pleasant enough but that emptiness in the middle is a let down.

Opaque dark brown colour, tall frothy tan head, half-way lasting. Aroma roasted malt, light cocoa, coffee, oatmeal. Mild flavour medium sweet and bitter, roasty, light chocolate, coffee. Light to medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, mild and short sweetbitter finish, light fruity and earthy notes. Okay.

Wenn ich Traubenzucker als Zutat bei einem Bier lese bin ich normalerweise draußen. Aber da auch Weizen- und Hafermalz enthalten ist und das ganze zudem obergärig ist, war doch mein Interesse geweckt. Fast schwarze Farbe, hellbrauner Schaum. Geruch erinnert an kalten Kaffee. Geschmacklich ist das ebenso das Hauptthema, besonders im Antrunk und Nachgeschmack. Außerdem Spuren von Kakao und Karamalz. Ganz zum Schluss findet sich noch eine fruchtige Note. Nicht zu herb, nicht zu süß. Süffig, nicht zu schwere Substanz. Nicht ganz meins, aber durchaus interessant und gut trinkbar.
