33cl, bb 10/2013.

Borefts warm up at Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Semi sweet triple malts. A little minerals. Touch of lemon. Semi dry finish. Inoffensive but a pretty dull tripel.

One of the worst tripels I ever drunk. Very malty and sweet. No hops at all.

Bottle from 2 be in Brugge. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is a fruity, spicy thing. Med body. It starts like a tripel, even to banana ester in small part. But then something goes a bit wrong and the flavor seems strangely muddled. I think it still fits the style, but it doesn’t end as tasty as it seems to start. Maybe it has actually developed some unexpected earthy characteristics. I feel better about it thinking that way.
