EBC 50.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen. Donkerbruin helder bier, flink schuimend tijdens inschenken. Weinig aroma, smaak is zoet (kandij suiker). Weinig nasmaak.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik. Slight hazy dark color, big rocky head. Aroma is quite spicy, bit nutmeg and clove even, some chocolate. Bit caramel sweetness in taste, soft spicyness. Good carbonation. Fits the style perfectly, very flavorful. Finish is a bit metallic, which is the only downside at the moment. --- Beer merged from original tick of Berne Prior Dubbel on 10 Dec 2017 at 15:46 - Score: 7. Original review text: LCI: kruidig, karamel. Prima dubbel

Bottle at home, dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, dark fruit. Taste is the same, sweet and bitter, not bad.

0.33 l bottle from ’Speciaalbierpakket.nl’, best before April 2018. Clear, very dark red with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of caramel, dark ripe fruits and some clove. Rather sweet, slightly fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, nuts, dark ripe fruits and some chocolate, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy, a bit roasty and minimally boozy finish with notes of plastic. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Definitely drinkable, but not flawless and not the best in its style for sure.

Tap at NBPF. Slight hazy light brown with off white head. Lots of caramel and brown sugar, lots of fresh herbs, some flowers and yeast. Over medium sweet and light bitter. Over medium bodied. Not bad!
