Bottle at home in the garden from beer gonzo. A clear bright orange coloured pour with a fading effervescent white head. Aroma is nice fresh strawberry, jammy fruits, some fruited cider, apple, pale grains. Flavour is composed of tangy tart fruits, crisp apple, strawberry, tangy fresh fruits, little mineral water in the finish. Palate is tangy and crisp, highish spritzy carbonation and a dry finish. Might have guessed this was a cider in a blind taste test. Nice fruit character.

Rather unusual fruit beer, bought at Bier en Plezier in Almere, Netherlands. Thick, frothy, lacing, off-white head, hazy peach blonde robe with orangey hue. Strong strawberry scent in the nose, strawberry yoghurt, rancid butter (even a whiff of, sorry, vomit upon opening the bottle but luckily fading away quickly), peach, sweet rosé wine, lime, honey, hint vanilla and something vaguely sulfuric. Sweetish and sourish onset, perfumey strawberry flavor with an underlying, fermentation-generated gooseberry touch, softish carbo, thin mouthfeel, slick caramelly malt base, slight metallic hint in the middle, very softly sourish finish due to the fruit and nothing else, ending thin and watery due to a complete lack of hop character. One-trick pony and by far the most disappointing Thornbridge beer I ever had. If the aim is to use this as an ’accompaniment’ to a wedding proposal: I would not recommend offering this to a lady, at least not if she is into beer...
