It’s so great that you like coffee. I just love that about you. Speaking of which, you’re holding an oatmeal coffee stout positively redolent with coffee aroma and flavor. It kind of tastes like a chocolate-covered espresso bean, only drier and more like beer. Nifty fact: we’re one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be extremely persnickety about which beans we buy and how we roast them. Taste the persnicketiness!

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy brown head that lingered forever and left decent lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty, toasty, woody and had a coffee note. The flavor was bitter, dry and roasty with wood and coffee. Long finish. Medium body. Decent.

Exquisite beer - delicate yet intensive, quite full (probably owing to oat malts) but still a regular stout (5.8 abv), sweet with medium roastyness. Coffee is discernible but is dominated by general dark malts notes. Feels like a great liquid cocoa cake. Awesome!

473ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and light caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light ash with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty.

16 oz. can. Clear dark ruby pour with a small beige head and fair retention. No lacing. Dark roasted coffee grounds flavor. Thin mouthfeel for the style. Good if you like coffee. I don't.

Pint can. Dark brown pour with a creamy tan head. Roasty aroma with espresso and dark chocolate malt. Great, high quality coffee flavors. Sweet and full of roast. Light chocolate notes. Very good.

On Tap at PreFunk Boise murky deep dark brown with a short lived light tan head. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Not a very big beer and a pretty low final gravity. Nice light roast flavors though. Tasty Beter than their IPAs I think

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is nice light roast malts some chocolate sweetness and a fruit hop. Taste is more of the roast malts chocolate and a well balanced hop bill.

Can at home. Very dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Notes of roasted malts, smoke, ash, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate. Pretty well-made classic stout, roasty, chocolatey, well-balanced. And very sessionable indeed.
