It’s so great that you like coffee. I just love that about you. Speaking of which, you’re holding an oatmeal coffee stout positively redolent with coffee aroma and flavor. It kind of tastes like a chocolate-covered espresso bean, only drier and more like beer. Nifty fact: we’re one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be extremely persnickety about which beans we buy and how we roast them. Taste the persnicketiness!

Can. Clear dark brown with a fat coat of light tan head. Promising aroma has fruity coffee with roasted malt and some brown sugar underneath. Medium bodied, medium carbonation - I’d like it a bit lower, the beer is not very silky for an oaty stout. Sweet with a finish that’s fairly bitter but neither dry nor noticeably astringent. The coffee is very nicely handled here and provides aromatic overtones but no burnt notes. It’s very prominent but not dominant. Good.

440ml can. Pours black. Coffee, figs, cinnamon, little peppery heat. Quite bitter, but a nice balance with the fruity coffee. Decent.

16 oz can poured. Holding my tradition to drink coffee beers during the morning home brew sessions. Black pour, patchy fizz head. Huge chocolate and coffee. Expected this much coffee, not so much on the chocolate. A pleasant surprise. Love these mocha stouts. Caramel, chocolate, no real bitter finish. Fantastic.

Poured from the tap. Chocolate, roast malt, mild coffee. Good balance. Finishes medium fast.

473ml can. Darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, mocha, roasted coffee beans. Taste is roasty dark malty with subtle sweetness, notes of coffee, mocha, sugared coffee, roasted coffee beans, some milk chocolate, fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of orange. Wonderful stuff.
