It’s so great that you like coffee. I just love that about you. Speaking of which, you’re holding an oatmeal coffee stout positively redolent with coffee aroma and flavor. It kind of tastes like a chocolate-covered espresso bean, only drier and more like beer. Nifty fact: we’re one of the only breweries in the world to roast our own coffee, which allows us to be extremely persnickety about which beans we buy and how we roast them. Taste the persnicketiness!

16 ounce can 2.50$ at ABV. Pours a dark chestnut color with a medium beige head. A nice sweet coffee nose. Roast, ashy, big coffee, milky, not super sweet. Licorice and some heavier metallic roast which I love. Solid brew, lots of flavor.

Can pour. Appearance is opaque black with less-than-finger-width light brown head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is rich roasted coffee with chocolate, oatmeal. Tate is as aroma--like chocolate covered espresso bean with mix of bitter and sweet, as advertised. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and mix of bittersweet roasted coffee and chocolate finish. Overall, a ton of aroma and flavor here.

On tap at Modern Times, North Park. Black with a small tan head. Quite a lot of coffee both in the aroma and taste. Also some light roasted malt and dark chocolate. The body was medium and the finish on the dry side.

Can from The Bottle Shop Bermondsey and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. roasty coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Very attractive for a coffee fan. Very smooth and eady drinking in the mouth. So often these datk beers come out papery but this is top notch. Coffee is well integrated. Strong and dominant coffee flavour. Some fruit and hop on the finish. Very good. Very impressed with this brewery.

This one is made with coffee, coconut and cocoa. It pours a dark brown color with a thin, but creamy khaki colored nitro head. The aroma has coffee, cocoa and toast with maybe a light hint of coconut. Pleasant. The flavor is smooth and oily with a little bit more coconut than the aroma and nice subtle coffee, toast and cocoa. Very oily on the palate, and the coconut adds to this impression. Light sweetness and creamy mouth feel. Really enjoyable.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a dark brown color with a creamy tan head. The aroma is very intense with coffee, hints of vanilla, dark chocolate and chocolate syrup. The mouthfeel is silky and creamy with some flavors of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. High carbonation for the style. Medium to high roasted malt in the finish with some earthy bitterness. An awesome coffee stout. No green pepper.

Can. Dark brown. Not much head, surprisingly. Aroma has an earthy coffee roast, and some darker chocolate. Soft, slightly sweet, touch of roast. I wouldn’t have guessed Ethiopian...too earthy for that...but it’s not a bad coffee taste. Good, easy-going coffee stout.
