Bottle @ ZZT 8 shared by Ansjelaah. Clear pale golden color, foamy white head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste lightly malts, quite fresh, slightly hops, lightly fruity. Thin texture, average body, fizzy carbonation.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a huge white head. Flowery and yeasty aroma. Taste is light and drinkable, yet quite complex with its crisp sourness, itβs mild spiciness, citrusy hoppiness, and dry herbal finish. Nice clean and pale matiness. Interesting flowery aftertaste. Great beer!

750 ml bottle purchased at the Portland Airport (made in Oregon shop) for me by my lovely wife. The pour is a lightly hazed pale golden with a large, lasting white head. The aroma is soft bready, citrus lemon, grass hay and a classic Saison yeast character. The taste is grass bread hay, along with a clove herbal quality that I didnβt pick up on in the nose. The citrus reappears in the finish, which also has some interesting gypsum mineral earthiness. The palate is light bodied, spritzy active carbonation and the grass and earth in the finish. Very drinkable. My Upright fanboyism continues.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention top hats and recedes leaving spider lacing. Lemon and yeast aromas. Sharp and a little watery with lemon front to back and through the medium length finish.

750ml bottle. Cloudy yellowish golden colour with huge, frothy, to macroporic out-blowing, eventually collapsing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of gooseberry, green apple, lime, tangerine, a touch of yeast, slightly grassy character overall. Taste is moderately tart, hints of lemon, some grassy and floral hoppy overtones, supported by a prickling carbonation; with the prickling fading away the minimally sweet wheat and pale malty basis gains weight; light body. Refreshing, light - a nice summer beer.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours extremely hazy golden amber color with a 3 finger foamy and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thick cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, straw, grass, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, bread, pepper, clove, grass, straw, light funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, wheat, bread, pepper, clove, grass, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast ester notes; with good flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and prickly mouthfeel that is great. Zero alcohol warming present after the finish as expected for 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent session saison style. All around great balance, complexity, and robustness of flavors for 4.5%; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

750 ml bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours tiny hazy golden with a huge frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky soapy lacing on the glass. Smell is tiny fruity and slightly spicy with crackers, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon balm, tamarind, hay, white pepper corns, dry soil and unripe peaches. Taste is tiny bitter, tiny fruity and tiny spicy with crackers, unripe tropical fruits, citrus zest, dry soil, dry wood, black and white pepper corns, allspice, grape skins, cloves, tamarind, hay, lemon grass, lemon balm and lime juice. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, sparkling and light bodied. Finish is bitter and spicy witch crackers, black and white pepper corns, dry soil, dry wood, grape skins, citrus zest and unripe tropical fruit. Great table beer!

Bottle: Soft yellow with plenty of haze. Obnoxiously large frothy head that takes what seems like forever to subside. Gentle nose is light and refreshing. Good amount of balance between the florals, earthy and herbal tones, as well as yeast. Soft mouthful for the style, with a lively finish. Elements of grain, florals, and yeast. Really enjoying the way the yeast comes in at the end with a zing. Refreshing.
