Bourbon County Brand Stout aged in rye whiskey barrels with blackberries, Luxardo candied cherries, fresh sour cherries and sea salt

The brewery opted for blackberry juice sourced from Valley Processing, in Sunnyside, Wash., instead of whole fruit both because it’s easier to use as an ingredient and for its richer flavor. The cherries used in Regal Rye are Luxardo cocktail cherries; the beer also incorporates the cherries' bright, sugary syrup. The sea salt “adds another layer that will make the flavors pop slightly — depth to something that’s already deep.

Thank you Gregg for this one, Happy Birthday! Dark brown pour, no foam. Nose is soft, some caramel candies, sweet sugary fruits. Rye spices and some booze, bready somewhat. Taste is deep, spicy, sweet caramel, hoppy and with a lot of bitterness. Really great actually, decadent treat!

Pitch black color. Little head. Big lucious nose of chocolate, cherries, caramel with blackberries oak and booze. Slightly sour cherries, blackberries, big charred oak, dark chocolate and vanilla. Low carbonation. Slightly sweet. Big oak and dark chocolate finish. Excellent.

8 4 9 4 17 2015 bottle shared at/by Joes, thanks for providing these (sometimes) awesome bottles! Black color. Light brown head, not lasting. Aroma’s: fruit, berries, roast, sweet, bourbon. Retronasal it’s sweet, berries, bourbon, alcoholic. Flavor is full sweet, alcoholic. Strong alcohol feel, but not burning. Full velvetty body. Long finish with blueberries, sweet. Awesome stuff, and highlight of the day for me.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a transient tan head. Aroma is light rye with dark fruit - likely cherries. Med ++ body. Flavor is rye, chocolate, cherry. Cherry hit with a bang. Amazing flavors. Maybe more complex than just cherry. Enough heat to suggest whiskey. Super tasty stuff.

Dark brown color, oily, with almost no head. Aroma of bourbon, coconut, rye, alcohol, hints of tobacco. Strong body, but even stronger alcohol feeling, a bit oily, rich molasses, dark chocolate, moderate sweetness, tobacco.
Wonderful, extreme, boozy.
