Beim Maisel & Friends Weizen-IPA trifft bayerische Lebensfreude auf die Sonne Kaliforniens.
Es leuchtet in opalem Sonnengelb und mit seiner feinporigen Schaumkrone wird es zum wahren Meisterwerk. Ein fruchtiges Bouquet aus Ananas, Limette, Zitrus und reifer Banane strömt in die Nase und steigert die Vorfreude auf den ersten Schluck ins Unermessliche. Im Mund wird unser Weizen-IPA zu einem wahren Biererlebnis und einer regelrechten Fruchtbombe, denn ein ganzer Obstkorb aus reifer Mango, Zitrusfrüchten und Ananas macht sich im Mund breit.
Die fruchtigen Hopfen- und Hefenoten vereinen sich perfekt und werden mit einer harmonischen Bittere angenehm abgerundet. Vollmundig und spritzig wie ein Weissbier, dazu der typische Charakter eines IPAs.
Eben ein Meisterwerk, das alle Sinne überrascht.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Münich. BBE . Aroma has bush leaves, citrus, grapefruits and biscuity malt. Flavour has citrus, bush leaves, grapefruit and harsh bitterness. I can feel only the hops and nothing else here.

Pajiza, turbia, de espuma blanca, bastante duradera. Aroma bastante frutal, cítrico. Se acentúa en boca el tono cítrico, sobre todo al inicio, con un contrapunto dulce muy agradable, y notas de frutas tropicales, así como un muy ligero tono lácteo. Paso fácil, muy bebible, buen punto de gas. Equilibrada y refrescante.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 27.11.17). AROMA: medium-low hop aroma with citric notes that fade. medium phenolic (clove), wheat and slight vanilla background. APPEARANCE: light gold color and slightly hazy. medium-low white head with low retention. TASTE: medium-low wheat flavor with notes of clove. low citric hop notes. medium bitterness with na almost dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium and smooth body. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: an interesting idea of a more fruity weizen but where the hops are already starting to fade. needs a bit more carbonation.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aro,a of citrus, hops and grain, with estery touches. Bitter, hoppy and citric flavour, with estery notes and touches of malt. Estery and grassy aftertaste with acidic hints. A little watery but by no means unpleasant.

Bottle thanks to Johannes. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Lots of citrus and resin on the nose. Taste is light bitter, some yeasty goodness from the weiss base beer coming through. Bready sweet finish. Citrus linger.

’Citrilla Weizen Ipa’, clear golden with a nice full white head. aroma of bread, floral, citrus, wheat, banana, pineapple. Taste has some citrus, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly fruity sour, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, lots of tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, very soft. fruity hop bitterness, unique fresh taste. good --- Beer aliased from original tick of Maisel & Friends Citrilla on 23 May 2018 at 14:32 - Score: 7
