At Ølbaren.Amber colour with white head,strong smoked nose and taste of caramel and wood well balanced mouthfeels and flavor of bacon and malt.

clear amber or brown, large thick offwhite or light brown head. slightly smoked aroma, sweet malts, nuts, honey, faint flowery. flavor is faint smoked meat, nuts, ends roasted grainy. palate is rather watery.

Malty, fruity, apple taste. Far from how I enjoyed it lat time, smoke seems all gone, focus on apples instead- Keeping my older score, since it seems something might have gone wrong with this bottle. Else would've been: 4/4/4/3/8=2.3

Bayerische Anstich@Akkurat. Deep ambery colour with creamy white head. Aroma is leather, smoke, hops, malts and some saltwatery notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some smoked wood and also some hitns of caramel malts.

Amber color, clean; with creamy head. Strong aroma of smoked sausage, malt. Good body, good caramel flavor, with some sweetness in the front and more roasted character in the end; the smoke is quite strong, more dry (due to the darker malts) than sour. Correct bitterness. Excellent.

Dark amber color. Aroma of smoked and almost burnt wood, a bit dusty but pleasant. Dark caramel flavor, strong bitterness, caramelized sugars, some smokey touch, not prominent. Very good beer, even if it has too much caramelized sugars and bitterness from the dark caramel.

Dark amber color; creamy head. Very nice aroma of smoke, clean, and caramel; it’s actually possible to feel some crispy malt. It’s too much carbonated, so the body doesn’t seem to be very strong; it has a dark caramel flavor, quite dry, mostly in the end, when something similar to chocolate also appear; it has a mild smoke character, overwhelmed by the dark caramel, while some sweetness would boost it, and even ashes in the end; again, a pleasant trace of crispy malt appears. Very good.

Dark amber color; creamy head. Strong smokey aroma, smoked sausages. Good caramel flavor, enough sweetness to create a round body, with smoked malt and good bitterness level. Delicious.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Distinct aroma of smoke and burned rubber. Medium body, roasted malt, distinct smoke accents and an underlying acidity. Ends lightly bitter. 221108

Clear amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and diacetyl. Smoky flavour with bacon, roasted malt, caramel diacetyl and butter. Finished bitter.

Bottle, 5.6%. Smoky aroma, citric smoke, not that good. Clear dark amber colour. The flavour is citric and smoky, hint of cream. The smoke is quite distinct and gets too sour for me.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a small tan head. Burned rubber smoked aroma. Mild acidic flavoured at first with a distinct smoke note on the back of the tongue. Again a bit bonfire to burned rubber like. Ends mild bitter and acidic.

(7/2/08) Draught at the brewpub in Merkendorf. Clear deep amber color. Aroma of smoked salami and some hints of pastrami. Sweetish slightly caramelly flavor with a decent amount of smoked meat and some wood notes. Medium-bodied.
