Can that pours a clean, darker amber colour with a big creamy beige head, very long lasting with some creamy lacing. Aromas of fruity malts, caramel and eventually, spicy hops with grassy notes. Raisin flavours with milder hops. Some decent dryness in the finish, but not overly bitter. Light haze at last pour. Smells pretty nice, but the rest is lacking a little character. Still, an easy one to drink for such a high alcohol content.

Can. Amber pour. Aroma of malt, pine, caramel, grapefruit and orange. Taste of herbal pine, malt, caramel, grapefruit and a bitter malty finish. Good american malty ale with a punch.

Can at home, while watching Mad Max Fury Road Crome Edition on 2nd christmas day. Hazy dark amber with offwhite head. Sweet malts, caramel, orange peel, tea, biscuits, pine resin, but very juicy. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Heavy malty body and soft carbonation, very juicy barleywine / imperial ipa -ish. Good fuel. --- Beer merged from original tick of G'Knight Imperial Red IPA on 27 Dec 2017 at 00:27 - Score: 8. Original review text: 3.9
