Brugse Bok finds its origin in the German and Dutch tradtions of the seasonal bock beers.
The beer has a hazy brown colour and a sturdy foam collar. The orama can be described as spicy and fruity. A slight bitterness is typical for the pallet of this beer, yet tastes of caramel and raisins can also be discovered.
45 EBC, 15° plato.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, faint, ruby colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Rather weak, toasty malty and little more intense yeasty fruity, minimally leafy aroma, hints of red berries, a touch of milk chocolate, leafy herbal and minimally dusty, yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly dry, yeasty fruity, sweet-ish, toasty, caramel malty, hints of red berries, a touch of milk chocolate, herbal leafy overtones. Watery and minimally creamy texture, slightly dry palate, coarse, prickly carbonation. Balanced, harmonious, a bit simple, slightly overcarbonated - OK.

33cl bottle from the brewery. F: big, tan, good retention. C: dark coppery, hazy. A: bit malty, bit bready, bit spicy, caramel touch. T: medium malty base, high bit disturbing carbonation, caramel, brown sugar, bready, leaves, banana, dry on the palate, not bad, enjoyed.

Flesje thuis gedronken.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Soft caramelaroma with some cellar notes. Thinnish caramelly sweet flavor with a hint of sulphur and mango. Initial roast. I’m not impressed, but this beer is not worse as the Dutch bocks is it competing with. 6 3 6 2 11 = 2.8 On a re-rate in oktober 2009 I have to boost the rating. Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malty sweetish flavor with roast and a hint of raision. Malt, cinnamon and pepper in the aroma.

A nice belgian ale. Dark in colour but relatively tame for a belgian beer at only 6%. But the flavours are clean dry and balanced. online belgian beer factory

Bottle, 2018 issue. Clear deep amber/red color. Big beige/reddish head with long retention. Aroma's: caramel, wort, light grain and fruit. Retronasal: caramel, sweetish, fruity, light perfumey. Flavor is light sweet, moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Too high carbonation at first, better after a while. Finish is quite dry, fruity and earthy bitter.
