The beer has a hazy brown colour and a sturdy foam collar. The orama can be described as spicy and fruity. A slight bitterness is typical for the pallet of this beer, yet tastes of caramel and raisins can also be discovered.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark berry, raisin, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to light light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091024]

Clear mahogany with a medium sized beige creamy head. Sweet aroma with roaasted malt, caramel and overripe fruits. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, caramel, ripe fruits and toffee. Finished sweet and full.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy orangey brown with tiny impurities and a beige head. Spicy, perfumy aroma - some banana. Solid body, dried fruit and brown sugar. A little excessive carbonation. Dry and ashy finish. 241009

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Deep ruby, lots of floaters, thick beige head. Syrupy malty alcohol aroma, some boiled brown sugar on it, some Belgian yeast. In mouth, more estery yeast, some more kind of boiled in a saucepan toffee and malt. Finish has a bit of hop sting. More or less ok. I like the Brugse beers in general as they are pretty drinkable if not that exciting. Ok. 2.8. Re rate don't know why I didn't like this. Looks fine tastes fine. A bit like a Herman bock with some sweetness. But it's mainly a swetish Belfian ale with some nice hop finish. Fine.

Bottle at Delirium. Dark brown color with tan head. Dark fruity aroma. Med. body with smooth carbonation. Malty, but not overly sweet. Not a huge amount of hop, but it seems balanced. Good drink.

Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with a huge coffee colored tan head. Aroma is thick with roasted malts and dark fruits. Taste is copper metal and candy caramel malts. Finish is dry and hops.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a huge tan head. Aroma is roasted breadish with a mild roasted malt note. Medium to dry roasted malt with a light caramel note showing through. Smooth and roasted finish with a light bitterness.

Draught at Bokbierfestival 2008. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Spicy flavour, some dark malts. Quite clean for a Belgian.

Tap @ BBF ’08. Clear dark reddish brown beer, beige head. Aroma of caramel, malts, some fruits. Flavour is soft and sweet, malty, caramel, some chocolate. Just a little bitterness in the finish. A better dubbel than their regular dubbel.
