Fles 75cl in Vragender gedeeld. Jodium, rooksmaak, roasted malts, donker fruit, hout, peaty, medicinaal. (19-3-2022).

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Slight gusher. Oak and dominant peat in the aroma. caramel, roast. Malty yet dry oaky, dominant peaty flavor, pushing away other flavors. Iodine. Lots of carbonation. Nice one, though not perfect.

Sampled from bottle at THT Februari at "De Zuipschuit". Near opaque dark brown/black with creamy light tan head. Sour rotten wood, peat, chocolate malt. Medium sweet and bitter and light sour. About medium body and soft carbonation. Bit thin choco-milky. --- Beer merged from original tick of Prior Gerijpt op Islay Whiskyvat on 09 Jan 2018 at 10:54 - Score: 7

Bottle at February THT. Slight hazy dark reddish brown with beige head. Peat, Brett, light coffee, red berries, cardboard, lots of old wood, caramel, dust. Medium sweet, light sour and peaty bitter. Medium bodied. Not my thing. 3.1 Original rating was for the first or 2nd barrel fill. Had another one that was 3rd fill. The peat here was way more subtle, also less cardboard. More subtle fruity, which vanilla oak and the base beer coming through a lot more. Really prefer this version as it really works better with the Prior.

Bottle shared at De La Gare, Den Haag. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of big peat, brett, oak barrel, tart overripe dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Clearly infected and not what it could be, but still fairly drinkable.

75cl bottle shared at the Paas monthly tasting 7/11/2016. Shared by the brewer. Only 1 week old. Clear black pour. Lovely preaty whiskey aftertaste. Very good.
