The pride of Big Belly Brewing. After many, many, many (8) test brews we created a very complex malt bill (10+ premium Dutch The Swean malts) that makes this beer one of a kind. Perfectly balenced and sticky sweet. It’s thick, creamy and has flavours of chocolate, caramel, licorice and a subtle hint of peated whisky. Top 3 rated Porter in NL and enjoyed by experienced and beginning beer drinkers.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, mild smoke, licorice and caramel. Taste has smoke, creamy peat, licorice, caramel, bitter chocolate and sticky malt. Peat is a bit too subtle, but the flavors work well. Bit too much carbo though. Good beer, a new brewery to watch.

Bottle shared at THT January (Platypus Edition). Hazy black with light brown head. Chocolate, sweet malts, soft ash, blackberries, light minerals, plums, dead leaves, strawberries. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with slick sugary feel. It’s OK but has some off notes.

C: Fast gone tan head over virtually black, brown beer. 4/5 N: Bark, felt, moss, undergrowth, roasted notes. 8/10 T: Woody, again mossy notes, dry impression, felt. 7/10 MF: Quite well-bodied. Dry finish, better carbonated than it looks. 4/5 O: More than decent. 15/20

Fles van het Biermoment. Ik haal er geen turf uit. Meer marshmallow, wat chocola en drop. Maar je hoort mij niet klagen

Very dark brown pour with a tan head. Notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, oxidized cherries, dried fruit, roasted coffee beans, soy sauce, smoke, subtle peaty notes. Full body, smooth texture, bitter-sweet finish. Overall a bit too sweet but nice.
