zwart met licht beige kraag, aroma van geroosterde mouten, chocolade (melk), cacao, lactose, zoethout. Smaken zijn scherp, alcohol, gebrand, chocolade, lactose, tarwe, zoethout, mwah er zit smaak aan maar echt top is het niet, verder droppig, salmiak, matige body, matig zoet, redelijk bitter.

33cl bottle from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black with limited and sticky fading brownish foam. Aroma is intensely toasted and alcoholic, plus cherries under spirit, hazelnut. Body is dense and carbonated, some astringency. Taste is intensely sweet and bitter, the latter being dominant in particular in the finish, which is relatively long. Also a bit of sour in taste.

12 ounce bottle. Dense black color. Frothy tan head initially reduces to a small creamy cap. Subtle Darah malt nose. Smoky notes. Huge bittersweet roasted malt flavor. Dark chocolate, espresso, burnt sugar, resiny hops, licorice and imperial darkness. Rich and foreboding. Bittersweet chocolate finish. Warming alcohol.

Keg at DomCraft, Uppsala. Black with rich firm beige creamy head. Aroma of salmiak and treacle. Very sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Treacle, black pepper, licorice and syrup. Inky finish with intense alcohol. Unbalanced, too sweet and too inky.
