“When I copied the famous Even More Jesus, I had to ask myself as an artist, why am I doing this? I didn’t honestly know. It was just an instinct about beer as pure form… in a sense this stout is like a metaphor for freedom - the sum of all the beauty that surrounds me and my perfect contemporary existence.”
- Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, Brewer and founder of Evil Twin Brewing

Tap @ Beer Temple, sample size. Pitch black color. Dense beige to light brown head. Aroma’s from the glass: berries, boozy, fruit; retronasal: sweet, brown (basterd) sugar, light red fruit, light roast, light hops. Flavor is full on sweet, dark caramel, molasses. Alcohol feel is moderate (not like 12%!). Medium to full body. Long finish goes towards roast and moderate bitterness. Sweet but really nice.
Edit: not as sweet from the bottle, with a firm bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable rich tan head. Clear aroma of roast, malt, chocolate amd fruit, with hints of coffee. Sweet flavour of fruit and chocolate, with notes of roast, coffee and malt and touches of yeast. Roasty aftertaste with hints of coffee and dried fruit. Warming alcohol presence. Heady but very decent.

Poured from bottle, dark with little head. Aroma of dark malts, bitter chocolate, cocoa, hints of american hops developing to great piney notes. Very balanced and rich. Definietely worth recommending.

Bottle, 12%. Vinous aroma, slightly sweet, red berries. Black colour. Small brown head. The first impression the flavour gives is sticky sweetness. Then comes some sweet and spicy liquorice, and even later a long and bitter raw liquorice note. Has some piney hop and a touch of jam. Sticky and oily mouthfeel. There is a bit of alcohol in the finish but nothing that hints at the 12% ABV and it does not begin to balance the sweetness at all. A great beer but could have been less sweet. Actually, the more I drink, the less I like it.

pitch black, smooth large brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, faint dried dark fruits, booze, simple, brutal, but still round and not over the top. Nice aroma. Flavor is roasted malts, sweetness from sugar, more roasted malts, ends more roasted than it starts, but still quite a lot sugary sweetness, Reminds me of mikkkeller black, only better tasting as this one is not *that* sweet. still way too sweet to hit my preferred imp stout taste. The dried dark fruits i mentioned is probably just the sugar sweetness playing tricks with me. The evil twin has made a lot of dark beers i would prefer to this one.
