Black with creamy brown head. Roasted aroma, notes of smoke, licorice and coffee. Flavour has smoked paprika and salty licorice. Works surprisingly well in small amounts. Warming spice and alc. Interesting.

Bottle picked up somewhere (forgot where). Consumed at home Sunday 9th April. Pours black as yer ’at. Soft in the mouth, really lovely mouthfeel. This is super Indulgent, Loz picks up the paprika and yes so can I, warming, sticky, monster yummy. A touch of burnt toffee, lovely beer. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2

Bottle @ Joes, shared by Joes. Opaque black color, average sized brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, liquorice, anise, something I can’t put my finger on. Taste malts, liquorice, anise, slight smoke-peaty hints, again something weird perhaps slightly herbal but I just can’t put my finger on it. Weird. Not great.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Tempest Double Shuck ].Dark black color with a large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, chocolate, coffee, spicy, wood, light to moderate smoked paprika, pulled pork rub. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, spices, X-mas spices, dark malt, roasted, malt and hop bitter, smoked paprika, pulled pork rub. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170315] 7-4-7-4-15

Thnx to Ben. Pours black , small white head. Smell is bit sharp ,mild salty, roasted malts. Taste is full, bit sweet, some different character, prob the oyster. Very nice mf and carbo. Nice !

A rich black colour with a medium large thick brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted coffee and sweet spices. Smooth and creamy some alcohol comes through with sweet roasted coffee and chocolate flavours.
