Bottle shared at home. Very pale straw and no head nor bubbles. Sweet apples, very dry apples, wood, almond nutshell, light funky mossy, but then quite sweet again, and then alcoholic. Quite sweet, mild bitter, very thin and supple but quite alcoholic too. Medium dry, the dryness is quite harsh but the sweetness is pretty out there too. In the beginning I tasted more dryness but once the sweetness comes through it takes center stage. --- Beer merged from original tick of Thatchers Katy Cider on 20 Jun 2018 at 00:07 - Score: 6

500ml bottle from Co-Op Church Stretton. One of those ciders I've always ignored on the supermarket shelves because I've had many times before, but only recently realised I've not rated. So here I am drinking and rating it. Pours a pale yellow. Has a lightly sweet apple fruit / white grape nose. Light fizz on the palate, taste is white grape schloer, medium-sweet apple juice, a touch sticky in mouthfeel. Accessible, commercial cider, more drinkable and balanced than others of its ilk, with a good fruity presence.

Bottle at home picked up from Sainsbury's a very clear, pale petrol / champagne coloured pour with a fine white effervescence. Aroma is semi sweet, initial flora apple, light onion, spicy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light tangy, white sugars, spicy , little pepper. Palate is medium sweet, highish carbonation. Not bad. Pretty clean.

Bottle, possibly thanks to allmyvinyl, but I cannae mind. Appearance - golden amber with steady bubbles. Nose - slightly sour apples with apple skins. Taste - sweet and sour apples. Palate - medium bodied with a sweet tangy middle section. The finish is dry and tangy. Overall - a nice breakfast cider.
