Bottled at Pivoteka. Thanks Trolleo! Lovely aroma... Maltiness, chocolate, fruitiness, huge caramel. Fresh taste, caramel, orange liqueur, mild alcohol, soft, quite drinkable. Vague touches of glue. Mild bitter touches in the finish. Quite fine lean barleywine.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A deep rustic coloured body. Rings of lace down the glass, Stable, medium sized, off-white head. Good looking!. Prominent smell of almond and dried fruits. Well blended flavours of almond, biscuit, and dried fruits. Drying ending with warmth from the alcohol. Perfect as a full bodied dessert. (Tromsø 08.04.2018).

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel, toasted malt, sherry and cumin. Pours hazy brown color with thin quickly diminishing creamy tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts sweet caramelly and fruity, follows grassy with sweet molasses, mouthfeel is warming and mild spicy, while finish is pretty much toasted with faint coffee note and long lasting bitter aftertaste. Full body, sticky texture and soft carbonation in palate. Not my favorite style, however still excellent representative of its kind...

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Mørk amber. Kjempehøyt luftig skum med litt farge. Stabilt. Aroma av søt frukt. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søte plommer. Litt tørr etter hvert. Alkoholen skinner litt gjennom.

Thanks to Mallorn for the EU Local Swap 1/2018
33cl bottle
Brown color, off-white head with good retention, some lacework. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, burnt caramel, some molasses. Flavor with hints of honey, caramel, toasty, light dry fruits. Final slightly bittery, alcohol perfectly hidden by caramelish hints. Light creamy mouthfeel.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie Dec 17, courtesy of myself. Pours a deep hazy amber, small bubbly off white head. Aroma is strong caramelly barley wine. Taste is sticky sweet, caramel, marmalade spice.. not too rich or overpowering, nicely balanced. Not my go-to beer style, but it's none too shabby.
