Draft at G.I. Black Friday tasting on 11/28/14. Pitch black color with an oiliness over the stout. Aroma start with cinnamon, mild chili pepper, and the bourbon in a nice moderate level.

The texture is oily with a mild coconut upfront before turning into the chocolaty sweet stout base. The bourbon flavors are strong and robust just like any other variant of BCBS. The cocoa nibs and sugar really help to mellow out the spice. Chili and cinnamon give a lively feel in the back of the sip to help balance out the Stout and large bourbon flavors. Delightful like everything else from this barrel room.

4 ounce Sample @ Goose Island Tasting in Chicago on Black Friday

A - Pitch black. Oily like evey other variant.

S - Nose is basically a light sweet coconut water and cinnamon and other holiday spices. Lots of sugar but not a burnt nose.

T - Oily and slick but also very dense. Cinnamon up front and a long cinnamon finish. Woody bark and bay leaves and light whipped cream coconut throughout

M - Thick and not quite flat but not a lot of carbonation going on in this one

O - This is worlds better than 2013 Proprietor’s. Thick and oily, loads of adjunct goodness and a right mix of dessert and heavy malt qualities. Really special!!!!
