22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose is elegant, bringing out lots of coconut, bourbon barrels, light cinnamon, and light cocoa. Flavour is complex, with loads of cinnamon and coconut upfront, followed by bourbon barrels and candied sugar. Amazingly well-balanced and harmonious. Much more cinnamon than Proprietor's 2013, which is why I rank it slightly lower, but this is still amazingly well-integrated. Fantastic stuff.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is very coconut forward, way more than last year’s with nice chocolate and light roast notes. A medium light nuttiness with moderate bourbon and light oak notes. Light alcohol. Pours jet black with a small faint dark mocha head that quickly recedes. Flavor is similar to the aroma with quite a bit of coconut and chocolate with lighter roast and nuttiness. Light oak with hints of vanilla and moderate bourbon. Medium light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice stout with a lot more coconut than last year. I definitely find this to be a better version with way more flavorful coconut.

Sample at the Bourbon County tasting, De Molen. Poured a deep mahogany with a bubbly round tan head. The aroma is big cinnamon, light yeast, some roasty malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich syrupy sugary sweet, roasty, fruit, coconut, chocolate, alcoholic bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a very dark brown with tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is a strong cinnamon and coconut, cocoa, roast. Slick mouthfeel with strong roast, very sweet, coconut, light cinnamon, boozy finish. Very nice.
