Pour is a reddish brown with a large tan head. Aroma is of caramel, nuts, and dark bread. Flavor is more caramel malts, big brown sugar and toffee. It’s really sweet and missing that dank dark fruit I like in a good dopple. Still it has a few things going for it. The toffee after the swallow is nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a note of dark bread with a hint of sweetness and a hint of cheese. Flavor starts with a bit of dark sweet grains and mellows in to more of a dark bread note.

Tap @ Great Divide’s 18th Anniversary party. Orangish brown appearance with an off white head. Fairly sweet, caramel, dull grassy aroma. Not all that hard to drink. A bit boozy. Rich sweet, caramel, straw flavor. Another less than average lager from Great Divide. Too bad.
