Cerex Castaña Beer is a double-fermented craft beer. Cerex Castaña is a coppery-brown beer with amber highlights. It has a sweet first impression and a wild chestnut finish. It won the 2017 Best Beer in Spain award in the Smoked category at the World Beer Awards (London). Brewed in the first brewery in Extremadura.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a warm brown with an orange hue and a creamy and lacing, beige head. An aroma that is mostly chemical and phenollic, perhaps wee hints of dark dried fruits. Medium body, tart and phenollic with some dark candy sirup sweetness underneath. Chemical bitterness and no traces of chestnuts. A horrible, infected mess. But at least it looked good. 040825

33cl Bottle from Nerja. Hazy amber colour, off white head. Aroma of smoke, yeast, nuts, some sweetness. Flavour is smokey, nutty, yeast, light sourness, hint of rubber. Over-carbonated, fizzy, thin.

Botella 33 cl tomada en el momento en el kraken. Cortesía Beni. 02..04..2016. (r06). Botella número 07433. Color marrón claro amarillento turbio con espuma Blanca. Aromas y sabores cereales algo cítricos con bastantes recuerdos de piel de castaña amarga. Cuerpo ligero con bastante gas. 5 vol. Necesita mejorar un buen cacho.

Ambar, marrón clara, espuma blanca. Aroma mezcla entre caucho y establo. En boca bien de gas, cuerpo moderado... y poco más. El sabor es extraño y poco agradable. Entre ácido y rancio, con notas de caucho. Postgusto ahumado. En cualquier caso para olvidar.
