(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Lighly sweet caramel notes in the aroma. Medium body, sweetish notes of caramel and a hint of smoke. The finish is dry. Drinkable and forgettable. 130507

CBF07 sample from 33 cL bottle. Pours clear amber. Soft and sweet malty aroma. Flavour is malty, hoppy and tart fruity. Finish has a vague smoke note. Apart from the slight smoked finish I sensed nothing that made me think about this being a whiskey malt beer, but I honestly enjoyed this - I guess it’s my appreciation for smoked beers.

Danke an den Doppelbock für das Bier! Süßlicher, leicht rauchiger angenehmer Geruch. Zu Beginn ist das Bier etwas wässrig, ein rauchiger Unterton ist jedoch deutlich erkennbar. Der Mittelteil ist leicht malzig, der Nachgeschmack leicht herb. Wie man an den vielen "leicht" erkennen kann, ein durchaus mildes Bier, doch an Aromen wird nicht gegeizt. Doch, trinkbar. A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor leading to a dry though slightly sticky end.
