A very special Ale. The perfect beer to share with friends and family over a good meal or after a long day. The Brewmaster blended special Ale malts, hops, ginger and gula melaka to create a beer that is creamy, smooth, and with hints of roasted caramel. Traditionally brewed and uniquely Archipelago.

Sampler at Archipelago, ABV 5.4%. Light hazy amber colour, light off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, some Indian spices. Flavour is spicy, hoppy, light roasted with some caramel notes, grapefruit bitter finish, just a hint of soap. Medium bodied, good and tasty beer with a spicy twist.

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of nuts and ginger, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Hazy amber golden with a rough, beige head. Fruity nose, a little nuttiness and a light touch of citrusy aroma hops - or is it Gula Melaka?? Medium-bodied with lightly burned nutty accents, some ginger-like spiciness. Dry and hoppy finish. Quite good. 080408

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with a fully diminished head. Hoppy spiced aroma, light ginger note - but nicely subdued. Flavour is hoppy with a light liqourice note. Goes into a dry hoppy and liqourice finish. Nice and smooth.

Medium brown color. Caramel nutiness in the nose with exotic notes of ginseng, brown sugar, molasses and cane sugar. Mouth is very big with the cane and brown sugar dominating (forget the name of what the actually sugar is called). A nicely spiced finished. Despite mixing in some very untraditional ingredients, this beer pulls off something I quit like and think would be an excellent match to chinese food.

Draught at the pub in Circular Road
Hazy amber color. Malty aroma with some chocolate. Good malt and even more caramel taste, with a strong bitterness and a hint of coffee. An American Pale Ale lingering on the roasted malt / coffee side. Maybe with a touch of ginger.
