My Raspberry Beer or ‘Framboos’ is my most sought after brew to date. Made with real fruit (I don’t like chemical taste enhancers), it begins life as a premium quality wheat beer, to which I add ample quantities of whole raspberries during the fermentation process. The results… a truly exceptional fruit beer which is made in very limited quantities.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Clear, red colour with huge, frothy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, minimally pink-ish, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity aroma, notes of raspberry pulp, some fruit acid, some earthy, leafy aspects, minimally waxy overtones. Taste is dry, tart-ish and sweet-ish fruity, minmally waxy, minimally diluted notes of raspberry, some fruit acid. Watery texture, slightly dry, minimally astringent palate, medium, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation. A bit watery, overall a nice exposition of raspberry flavours - decent.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Intense fruity aroma. Starts intense fruity, berry notes, sweetish. Background with some more dry-hoppy notes. Finish well balanced, less fruity. Shy berry notes. Interesting!
