Traditionally Saison beers were brewed in farmhouses, often in the cooler months, and saved for the seasonal workers (saisonniers) to drink in the hot summer months as a refreshing and clean source of hydration! I like to think my ‘Saison’ is a beer those hard working ‘saisonniers’ would have enjoyed again and again.

Made in a similar way to the Tripel (yet a little lighter), this is a refreshing drop which, thanks to the invention of refrigeration, can now be enjoyed all year round .

# 2961; 5/2022. As Saison 6,8%. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Hazy gold body; persistant white head. Crispy, yeasty, fruity, spicy, zesty. Very good saison. 0,3 l, bottle, brewery, Bishop's Stortford, East of England.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a hazy orange with white bubble head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, very zesty, funky. Taste is tangy fruit, citrus, banana, funky, malts.

27/5/2020. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. 6.7% abv. Pours cloudy pale orange gold with a huge but short lasting white head. Aroma is yeasty, herbal, citrus, malt and hop, along with a little caramel and ripe banana. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Medium body, slightly oily and average carbonation. Refreshing in today’s heat. Enjoyed it.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, malt, hops, little acid and has a sweet finish.

Bottle courtesy of Grumbo. Thanks. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty and light pepper. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 251119
