Hazy amber beer with a white foamy head. Bready banana aroma. Flavour has the same qualities Banana, doughy bread, a hint of citrus hop. Sharp on the tongue. I could drink this all day.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 09:30. AROMA: predominant aroma of clove followed by banana, with a slightly sweet wheat background. APPEARANCE: dark gold to light ambar color and hazy. large of-white head with good retention. TASTE: predominant phenols with notes of clove, followed by esters of banana with a wheaty background. low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium body with a fluffy sensation. medium-high to high carbonation. OVERALL: a nice and traditional german weissbier with all the style characteristics.

Draught @ Fermentoren. Pours very hazy reddish orange with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating.Smell is slightly fruity and slightly spicy with crackers, white bread, red pears, green banana, hay, dry soil, cloves and lemon peal. Taste is tiny sour, tiny bitter, slightly malty, slightly fruity estery and slightly spicy phenolic. Mouthfeel is soft, dry, tiny tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sour and tiny bitter with crackers, white bread, red pears, unripe banana, hay, dry soil, cloves, white pepper corns, coriander and lemon peal. Bit too heavy on the pear esters to suit me. --- Beer merged from original tick of Maisel's Weisse Original on 03 May 2015 at 16:25 - Score: 6. Original review text: I want banana and clove esters in my Weisse. Not pears...

Draft at Bamberger Weissbierhaus during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours cloudy, rich gold with a frothy, white head. Classic stuff. Rich ripe banana character, yeasty wheat bread, light clove. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with hefty wheat bread, further rich banana. Good stuff.

Hazy orange-gold color with a frothy white head. Moderate carbonation. The traditional Weizen aroma draws you in and each sips leaves you wanting more. Hints of fruitiness, but this is not a sweet beer. A well balanced representative of its class.

Soft but unattractive aroma of rotting malt with no head and slightly foggy brown red body. Flavour is wheat beer with hints of honet and cherry. A little murky and lacking finesse.
