Energy Equals is a companion beer to MC². It completes the equation. We start with MC² as a base and incorporate the well received process we like to refer to as the ‘Energy Dry Hop’ which gives this beer an intense brightness and flavor. Energy Equals has enhanced flavor characteristics of mango, pineapple, citrus, and apricot. With the new technique in place, we notice a much deeper flavor profile while being extremely bright and lighter in body. It’s extremely crushable with our EQ juice finish.

Keg draught at BrewDog Leicester. Dark gold and hazy with a foamy white head. Peach and floral notes in the aroma. Sweet taste, more peach and apricot with a quickly descending bitterness near the finish. Full bitterness over the to gue by the end of the sip. Light carbonation, full oily body. Incredible stuff.

Not much on the nose, although pineapple with a deep sniff, in the mouth it’s very juicy, with a long lasting orange, citrus and tropical blend.

Can from The Gull, 02 16 21, 7.5 months old
Cloudy blond colour. Moderate juicy aroma (tropical fruit, stone fruit). Mild residual sweetness, lean mouthfeel; the malt or oats base doesn't get in the way (just feble creaminess); the hopping is fading but juicy; balanced bitterness, there seem to be some more pith note when compared to other Equilibrium IIPAs.
It lacks the strength and freshness, but it's still better than the average.

NEDIPA by this acclaimed New York craft brewery, a derivative of their Mc² apparently - hence the picture of Albert Einstein on the label. Can shared with Goedele. Very thick, even rocky and pillowy, fluffy, beaten egg-white, stable head on a cloudy apricot blonde beer with deeper pale orangey tinge. Aroma of green orange peel, raw pineapple, guava, mango, rambutan, gin, toasted onion, 'diesel', Thai basil, mandarin, pink grapefruit, dank stale sweaty note. Crisp onset, very citrusy, lime-zesty and orangey, mandarin even, but also the expected tropical mango and guava impressions; quite actively prickling carb for the style but not to the point where it becomes annoying, with a full, doughy, even slightly honeyish malt sweet 'bed' completely drenched in a huge wave of tropical, citrusy and lightly dank hoppiness, lots of mandarin and mango again, some marijuana and stewing onion, and also providing a finishing touch of peppery bitterness, briefly highlighted by otherwise well-positioned, gin-like alcohol. The juiciness, the basic feature of anything NEIPA, goes on and on and this is one of those beers one could keep sniffing forever. In several ways a great American NEDIPA - this is Tree House or Trillium quality level, if you ask me.

Canned 8/23/21, drunk 9/26/21. Medium-to-heavily hazy, bronze-brass with a small, white head showing low retention. Nice and soft nose with lime leaf, tangerine, meyer lemon and light honey-like maltiness. Very balanced with no flaw or alcohol or raw hop twang. Spicy green character with just enough hop character to please without going overboard. No weird yeastiness/bubblegum. Fuzzy citrus with leafy/green/dank/spicy goodness. This has aged so well over the month in the can. Just the softest, gentlest bitterness with mineral, white wine, passion fruit and tons of meyer lemon. One of the better Equilibrium IPAs I've had in a long while (they've been a bit few and far between these days). Excellent balance, dryness, texture, no hop twang, booze or weird yeast.
