Brigand is a strong blonde beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. The pale blonde colour is eye-catching thanks to the use of unmalted wheat, pale malt and pils malt. Brigand has a slightly malty taste with accents of spices and hops in the finish.
Brewed since 1980. 20° plato.

Amber copper color with light foamy head. Just beautiful beer. Taste is superb, some orange flavour with spicy hops and hints of bitterness and yeast. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Very smooth and drinkable. Alcohol taste is not too strong. Love it!

33cl shared bottle at BREW - Beers & Ciders, Bangkok. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of alcohol and sweet fruits with some malt. Sweet and malty with a distinct taste of alcohol. Finishes slightly bitter. Ok strong ale, but the alcohol was to dominating. (2012-05-17)

Brown 33cl dumpy bottle, best before Oct 2009, drank in March 2007. Poured into a Straffe Hendrik bowl glass. Slightly hazy orange, tangarine colour, the white head stayed for a short while, carbonation continueing throughout trying to replenish the ever shrinking head and failing. Yeast and more yeast, overpowers all other aroma’s. Heavy alcohol taste, a type of good quality Dortmunder with attitude and more. Mixed cereals (wheat, rye, barley, etc) appear within the alcoholic haze of this strong beer. A slightly fizzy, carbonated feel to it, alcohol stays in the back of your mouth also. I was going to give more scores of 4, but there is something wrong/false about this beer I can’t put my tongue too. The alcohol is hiding the true flavours. I had a Brigand Christmas on tap in the Kulminator (Antwerp) last Friday, it was wonderful, this normal Brigand doesn’t quiet pull the same way.

33cl bottle. Golden colour with a nice and easy formation of white head. Frothy, moderate creamy, average lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is sweet, moderate yeasty and alcoholic. Flavour is slightly fruity, yeasty, bready with some citrus hints and a final moderate alcoholic with an average duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Pours bright yellow with a firm big bubbled white head. Yeasty aroma. Taste-wise I would describe it as a ’Duvel’ but maybe that’s my poor frame of reference. A strong fiery Belgian strong ale.

The bottle looks very simple. The beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Alcoholic aroma. Starts milder than exspected, fruity-sourish, a bit soapy. Finish burning, modest alcoholic. Too unbalanced!

Not the best color (plain yellow) and smell (kind of dull) but nice taste and very good carbonation.

Tasted this one a few times. Scored not to high. Mouthfeel is very nice. Smell and taste are a bit dull. The new logo looks like a gay version of Chuck Norris (no offense to gay people and/or Chuck Norris).
