Standing 12 ft. tall at the center of the brew deck is our HopBack vessel, where whole-flower hops swirl in hot wort and open up this deep amber with layers of grapefruit and pinesap. Crystal, Munich and Pilsner malts harmonize to add a complex balance of chewy caramel and toffee notes.

Bottle as a great extra from McGrupp612 - thanks! Pours clear orange-amber with a small off-white head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is a mix of caramel, fruit and pine. Flavor is lightly sweet with strong hop character, pine, herbal; just a bit of caramel and unidentified spice. Light bitter lingering finish. Very drinkable.

Draft @ The Port Tavern, Newburyport, MA. Served in a Newcastle Brown glass. Color is a dark amber with shades of brown. Smells of floral hops and big caramel malts. Flavor starts sweet and transitions into a grassy hop finish. Medium body, texture turning sticky in the finish, lively carbonation. Overall it’s damn drinkable. You’re not going to get real complex with an amber, with this you get good flavor without it being too sweet or cloying. Hops balance it pretty well.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy amber orange color. Fluffy beige head. Sweet caramel malt nose balanced with a floral hop aroma. Bittersweet caramel malt flavor with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and black pepper. Lots of spicy bitter hops here too. Very nicely done.

Amber and fairly cloudy. Not much head. The aroma has some mild hops and caramel. The palate is more caramel and some light bitterness. A bit chewy. Medium-dry finish, fairly standard mildly hoppy amber like I’ve had a thousand times.

Clear reddish amber beer, creamy yellowish head, unstable, adhesive with nice lacing. Aroma: very fruity, peaches, passion fruits, sweet apples and pears, bit dusty, some sugar. MF: ok carbon, medium body, creamy texture. Taste: fruity start, lychee, green apples, bitterness, sour touch. Aftertaste: dry and bitter, some honey malts, grassy.
