The Bons Vœux is a blond top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Since 1970, the brewery has been brewing a special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. (the name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont » means « With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont » ).
Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialise this “cadeau” but kept the name. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, even months before new year.
This Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hoparomas and tastes bitter, fruity and mild.
Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a longduring riping process, on a “dry hopping” base, are creating a typical and complex aroma and taste.
A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas.

0.75l corked bottle from Etre. This is a lovely looking almost glowing light cloudy one, packed with particles floating around in the glass and a medium size off-white top. Smells amazing. Subtle lemony, lots of Saison yeast, wet autumn leafs, strawberries. The subtle lemon suits it perfectly. Soft to average on the carbonation with a really slick mouthfeel. Tastes like autumn this. Lots of just lovely saison flavors, dry grapes, acidic strawberries, wheat, yeast, so many tiny subtle fruity flavors that its hard to tear apart. Shared this bottle, but I'd really like to have it for myself. 29.03.2013

Draft at Fireworks Alexandria. Poured a relatively clear yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was some funky spice notes with some pepper, yeast notes. Flavor was some spice notes, yeast, and some pepper funk. Pretty enjoyable.

Cloudy golden colour, some white head;aroma of yeast and sourish/sweet fruits with some well hidden alcohol; marvellous taste of citric sourness and hoppy(maybe a bit grapefruit) bitterness with spicy flavours and minimal alcoholic sweetness; dry aftertaste; perfect beer on tap at Csakajósör - many thanks to the owner!

Tap at Gingerman. Pours pretty golden with white head. Nose of yeast and tropical fruits. Tastes of citrus, yeast, bubblegum, peppery spices, and fesh grass. Creamy mouthfeel with some alcohol on finish.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2012. Has a hazy straw yellow colour with a big frothy off-white head. A compact aroma of belgian yeast, hay and some alcohol and floral. A rich flavour with a lot of pale malt, belgian yeast, hay and some alcohol and spices. A bit dry in the end. Has a rich and soft mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. The beer feels rich and more like a powerful tripel with a decent balance.
