750 mL bottle poured, generously shared by luttonm. Huge thanks! Thick pour, almost syrupy appearance. Damn good looking bottle too. Aroma is strong from a distance on this, pure whiskey nose, and an unexpected slight green apple sour like note. Sweet taste up front. Boozy, but not harsh. So much whiskey comes through here. An ideal sipper of a beer. What a treat.

750ml bottle @ Epic Lost Abbey tasting. Thanks Tide and Otso! Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, stingy bourbon, wood, toffee, oak, vanilla, hints of chocolate. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with bourbon, oak, wood, vanilla, toffee, licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is slick, oily and smooth with some roasty malts, bourbon, toffee, oak, wood, vanilla and chocolate. Quite nice, really smooth and heavy with complex bourbon notes. Really good slow sipper.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours black with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong oak, whiskey, tobacco, vanilla. Slick body, smoke, ash, tobacco, whiskey, cocoa, roast finish, very nice.

Tasting at Tokyo Midtown. Pours dark brown, almost black little beige head. Nose is loaded with with vanilla and coconut. Leathery and bit smokey woody oak. Taste is dry, some sweetness yes, but really overshadowed by leathery dryness, some light smoke, dried dark plums and loads and piles of woody spices. Really oaky and so multi-layered it's crazy. Booze warmth is there but drinks easy and has just great dry leathery bourbon booze finish. Loving this, so different.

Pitch black color. The nose baffles my palate in how to describe it. Dark chocolate, tons of burnt oak, spiced rum, ash, dark fruit, cassis, vanilla, soy sauce, umami in the nose. Fucking amazing. Low carbonation, tons of burnt oak, dark chocolate, red wine, dark chocolate, umami, soy sauce. Super smooth. Amazing balance and depth like I've rarely seen. Just out of this world.
