Een bier voor de fijnproever, dit kopergouden zwaargewicht. De Columbus is een amberkleurig speciaalbier met lekker veel hop en alcohol. De grote hoeveelheden mout en bittere hop creëren een complexe, volle smaak. Een uitgesproken maar fraai uitgebalanceerd bier.

An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

Ein Bier, das mich einfach nur enttäuscht. Es ist das, was ich als als widerlich klebrig-süß bezeichnen. Fast so wie wenn man Likör mit Melasse mixt. Es ist primär malzig, aber nicht im guten Sinne. Schade drum, da ich von der Brauerie bislang ein gutes Bild hatte.

On tap at ‘t IJ, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out some phenols, lots of esters, and candied sugar. Flavour is quite sweet, with lots of candied sugar, Belgian yeast, alcohol, and a hint of phenols. Rather chaotic and sweet. I'm not convinced by this.

330 ml bottle. Clear amber, small head. Caramel, nuts, herbal hops, lemon, grapefruit, booze. Hoppy bitterness, malty sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry bitter boozy finish. Okay.

Big fairly long lasting frothy head. Malty, yeasty aroma and flavor with rosebuds. Buttery with a hint of sourness and some roasted malt. Complex, but not perfect.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een wat troebel amberkleurig bier met een dus schuim. De geur is gistachtig en wat stoffig. De smaak is moutig, wat hoppig en gistachtig.

Fogy. Light amber. Well-lacing white head. Yeast particles floating around. Nose: overripe fruit, heavy malts, Belgian yeast. Full body. Taste: medium sweet, malty. Pale and caramel. Fruity. Nutty. Warming. Light bitterness. Satisfying.
