An amber, craft beer with generous amounts of hops and alcohol. This copper-gold beer is a real heavyweight and a must for beer lovers. The liberal quantities of malt and bitter hops create a complex, full flavour. It starts as slightly sweet with malty aromas of chocolate, fruit and grain, while the bitter hops stand out nicely in the aftertaste. A feast for the connoisseur!

Draught @ the brewpub, Amsterdam. Pours nearly clear orangeish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with estery and floral touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with touches of yeast and notes of grass and malt. Lingering bitter aftertaste with malty and estery touches. Warming alcohol presence. Decent.

Bottle on the street. Imperial Dutch Amber. Deep malt tone. Sort of balanced by some old school Columbus, quite old school. Big toffee tones, a blast from the past. Malty, heavy, real.

33cl bottle from hopt.it, Rimini, Italy. Pours reddish brown, brilliant and transparent, with fine whitish foam. Aroma is malty, oxidised, recalling liquor. Body is average, with limited carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet. Final is fairly long, but delicately sweet and oxidised.

A bit funky and ashy. Not the cleanest, burnt cigar ashy is not so pleasant. T ij
