Brewed with Japanese wild-bred mandarin orange - ‘Fukure Mikan’ - and aroma hops with hints of orange. A great amount of malty umami taste complements well with the fruity citrus flavours.

A hazy amber to dark golden pour. Doesn't get much head and it recedes quite quickly. A pleasant fruity/juicy aroma is dominated by what seems to be a quite zesty kind of orange, also with a light peppery note to it; a bit of sweet caramelly maltiness in the background. May seem not too complex/interesting from description, but that orange fruitiness definitely has some depth to it. Taste shows more malty counterpart, with caramel and maybe a biscuity hint, but is still dominated by orange (zesty and slightly peppery as per aroma, decently juicy, but also more bitter than the aroma suggested). Turns out to be a beer with a good amount of both sweetness and bitterness (there's definitely a bitter contribution from the type of orange used). There's good overall balance in the mouth, but both sweet and bitter notes are left in the aftertaste and i feel like they are a bit in conflict. Medium body with average carbonation in an overall quite lively mouthfeel; i think i would have guessed 7% instead of 6% abv if i didn't know. Overall: kind of a vintage style ipa with it's old style malty contribution, but also quite peculiar given the interesting kind of orange used. Turned out enjoyable on the overall, though maybe it could use more precision in terms of overall balance.

Bottle from WineKraft. Hazy golden body with lots of flecks beneath a thin off-white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange zest and stewed tea. Flavour of orange and brown bread. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A tangy and interesting beer.

Aromas are orange as soon as I open the can then later a hint of hops and some malt. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, loses some of the orange and hops go kind of old resin.

It is a regular IPA, nothing sexy, but it is fully drinkable, bitter but not at the extreme, a bit buttery and malty, not so aromatic, 21.02.18, at Epalinge, relax.

(Bottle) Pours slightly hazy amber with small loose white head. Nice aroma of toffee malt and orange. Medium body with bright carbonation. Good and unusual taste. Plenty of bitter orange on a toffee malt base with a good hoppy bitter finish that cuts in at the end, leaving a long bitter orange and hop finish. There’s some peppery notes too. Very good, and unusual.

Can @ home. Clear golden body under a moderate sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, citric fruits, oranges and tangerine. Taste is smooth, soft malt, citric fruit, bitter orange zest and some bitter hops. Balanced body with a smooth and slightly sharp fruity bitter aftertaste. Nice and slightly unusually IPA in the classic direction.

Yellow orange pour into hitachino glass. A weird sugary maltiness combined with hints of orange. Some hop finish. Not my favorite hitachino.

Quite a basic grapefruit profile IPA of second freshness. Rather drinkable though.
