Aroma is sweet and candy-like with strawberries and cherry juice. Flavour is sweet and sticky with lollipop-like candy, cherries and some strawberries. An oversweet soda pop. Not the worst of this kind though.

A burgundy red ale with a thin pinkish lacing white head. In aroma, loads of berries, cherries, pop like but not cloying. In mouth, a sweet fruity pop like beer with nice little acidic points. On tap at loose moose.

It was recommended on the bottle to pour this on ice, which I didn’t. Ruby with pink head. Lots of sweet red fruits, not much else. Maybe a touch of tartness. Medium bodied with nice sparkly carbonation. More alcoholic soda pop than beer, but quite enjoyable (I like good sodas).

Review according to BJCP 2008 guidelines - Leifmans Fruitesse. Aroma: sweet aroma of cherry and other red fruits with an aftertaste of raspberry. sweetness maybe due to the use of fruit concentrates. No malt of hop aromas present. Appearance: clear ruby red with some orange tint and pink head with fair retention. Taste: sweet flavour of cherries dominates. Palate: smooth medium-low body with medium carbonation levels. Body not so thin maybe because of the use of adjuncts. Overall: a very enjoyable fruit beer but the extra sweetness may give the impression of an artificial product.

Flaske 0,25l kjøpt på ICA Stakkevollan, Tromsø. Rubinrød. Brukbart høyt lyserødt skum som raskt flater ut. Kortlivt teppelacing. God aroma av fruktkompott. Jordbær, kirsebær & druer. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er jordbærbrus. Antydning til mandler i avslutninga. Sikkert god til en del desserter men ikke for seg selv.

Sampled from a 750 ml corked green bottle this beer poured a dark red color with lots of little floaters and a large foamy pink head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet mixed berry jam with notes of blueberry, strawberry and elderberry. The flavor was sweet sugar and mixed berry jam with notes of strawberry, cherry and blueberry and a tartness underneath. Long sweet tart mixed berry jam finish. Moderately full bodied. Yummy!

Bottle at Mekong on 03/09/2011 as Liefmans Fruitesse. Clear red body with a small off white head. Sweet raspberry and fruit aroma. Very sweet fruit flavor with very faint sour hints. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.
