Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is lots of fruity grassy hops. Resin, peach, figs and honey. Taste is not too bitter but some orangey bitterness still, and fruity sourness and sweetness. Very nice light and little carbonated mouthfeel. Long finish. Nice.

2016 Fall re-rate: Tap at Bamboo. This beer has really improved over the past few years into probably the best session IPA in Japan with broad availability. Huge dank nose with a very similar nose to Shiga’s Sono Ju. Lots of crackery malts with enough body to keep everything balanced. Good crisp, bitterness with lingering citrus and weed. Fantastic! Would love to see this in cans. On tap at Watering Hole in Yoyogi, Tokyo. Shaker half pint. Big piney, resiny hop nose. Pale yellow color with small eggshell head. It is what it is...a very hoppy session beer. Really crisp and refreshing...hints of lemon and a tad of pepper on the palate. Bitter finish and refreshing. Killer session beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Marihana Session IPA on 10 May 2015 at 14:39 - Score: 8

On tap at Craft Beer Market Mitsukoshimae. A crystal clear pour with a thin filmy white head. A hoppy west coast type aroma, nice. Medium bodied with a bitter palate cleansing mouthfeel. Solidly bitter with citrus, pine & some earthy pepper. Pretty damn solid, I concur this should be canned & join the regular line up... Now all it needs is a Japanese name...

Light golden color. Big caramel wallop with citrus notes in the nose. Very big bread fruit malty notes in the mouth with some citrus notes. Decent bitter finish. Very well balanced, good body, good bitterness. Well made session IPA. Slight buttery finish but still really nice.

Tap at Bungalow. Bright golden, clear, fine head. Tropical nose, oranges, grapefruit, passion fruit. Crisp malt. Light and bready, a bit too sweet, but nicely fruity with a good, crisp bitterness. Refreshing and well drinkable.
