Pours a dark ruby color and is covered with a nice and slightly cream colored head that stays around for a while. Pleasant malty aroma, aroasted, and some nice caramel too. The creamy beer has a nice bittery taste, some caramel here too and some coffee as well. Bitter aftertaste. I used to not care about red beers, but now I have to say I really enjoy Kilkenny. Very drinkable.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear chestnut brown, thin white head. Aromas of toffee and malt.Taste has toffee and not much else. Perhaps a light herbal hop linger. Finishes clean enough. Forgettable.

33cl bottle. Appearance - dark amber with a decent creamy head. Nose - dark malt and toffee. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a relatively fresh finish. Overall - it’s typical of many of the mass distributed beers. Neither does it offend nor does it excite. Better than some though.

Bottle. A- Water, caramel malts, dough. A- Amber red color, cloudy liquid, frothy head. T- Slight bitterness, malty, watery. P- Medium body, thin creamy texture, flat carbonation, abrupt finish. O- A lot more watery tasting than I was hoping for. Not a bad Cream Ale but not all that pleasing either.

Mørk brunrød med noe beige skum. Malt og krydder aroma. Kjedelig vassen og tam i smak. Lite kullsyre. Denne blir noe helt annet på fat ...
