330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, grainy, yeasty, light herbal, sweet honey, light floral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Usually their beers are quite good, but, well, only so much you can do with a pilsner. No wonder it's their one beer in the supermarket.

Can from Foodshow in Shibuya. Drank straight from the can on the train ride home. Light biscuit and honey aromas with some pepper present as well. Average carbonation with a nice mouthfeel. Taste is biscuity with the honey and pepper working together well. A little sweet, but nice for the price. Finish starts sweet then picks up some bitterness at the end. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kin Kura Pilsner on 26 Jun 2015 at 19:25 - Score: 6

Can from Taniguchi. Iwate Kura Kin Kura pours a clear fizzy golf with a fruity biscuit nose. Clean crisp fruity biscuity lager. A touch too floral and sweet from me but decent enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

350 ml can. Pours golden with a white head that is gone in seconds. Aroma has a bit of grainy water. Fresh and pilsner-like. Taste reveals a bit of snappy bitterness, not too heavy on the body, rather on the light side. Nicely balanced and would be a good gulper instead of macro lagers. Not too exciting or too special though.

Can. Very lemony nose, honey malts. Deep golden color fine head. Sweet malt flavor, lemony hops, some grass. Rather light body, crisp, tasty. Not so special, but a good, flavorful pils.
