Tap at CBM Koenji. Teal blue color with a sky blue fizzy head. Nose has a hint of lemon and ramune. Taste is all ramune. Ramune beer. Move along nothing else to see here. --- Beer merged from original tick of Grand Blue on 01 Aug 2015 at 15:42 - Score: 3

5%, 500 yen at Grillman, Nagoya, with an Aichi Triennale Discount. A pale greenish-blue with a light blue-white head. It looks more like a cocktail than a beer, the aroma is lemony sugary freezee, you know those blue freezes you ate as a kid? Decent body & a citrusy sweet taste, lemon but why is it blue? More like an alcopop than a beer but the taste is decent & not so artificial, hell if it was a pilsner color you’d probably think it was a great lemon beer.

Draught at the Tanabata Beer Festa Toyama, 2010. Glowing electric blue color. Aroma of 7-Up, and moreso, the Japanese soda called Ramune. Fruity, citrus flavor with a bit of menthol and a big, long, earthy bitterness. Weird. Very weird.
