This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, as Soft DK. Black color with beige brown head. Malty aroma, caramel, roasted, chocolate, coffee, licorice, light vanilla, some wineous notes especially in the beginning. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium to full oily body with soft carbonation.

Tried on tap at Colonna and Hunter Bath. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma has malted coffee, chocolate, and sweet caramel. The taste is sweet and roasted chocolate, with a thick body.

On tap at the Hoppy pub in Greece. Pours black with a medium brownish foam. Nose: vanilla roots, chocolate, silky...meaning not a blast. Nice anyway. Mouth: alcohol is there but never disturbing, a bit rough not that rich, some vanilla.

355ml bottle. Pours dark with thick mocha head. Aroma is sweet roasted. Taste is smooth caramel, burnt brown sugar and chewy currants with a nice caressing sweetness. Very good.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Aromas of tar, dung, liquorice, cracked leather, prunes, dark chocolate. Taste is tar, dark chocolate, light boozy note, dark fruits, molasses. Dark sugar finish, but not sweet, if that makes sense! Nice.

Bottle. Vanilla, chocolate malt, and herbal lemon peel aroma. Dark brown with small head. Sweet vanilla chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal lemon peel flavor. Decent body.
